A & D Vitamins ?

No nutritional plan is complete without a good supply of vitamins A and D. Although often under-appreciated, these fat-soluble vitamins perform many vital functions in the body. Vitamin A is best known for its role in maintaining good vision, but it is also important for healthy skin and a strong immune system.* Vitamin D is required for our bodies to absorb and use calcium efficiently, which makes it essential for strong bones.* One of the best supplemental sources of Vitamin A and D is cod liver oil, which is naturally rich in both vitamins. Another good source of Vitamin A is Beta-carotene, a natural plant pigment that is converted into Vitamin A by the body.

Amino Acids ?

The Amino Acids are one of the basic nutritional groups fundamental to all living things. These organic compounds serve as the building blocks for the proteins that make up all of our vital tissues. Only twenty Amino Acids are required to build the more than 50,000 different proteins found in the human body. None of these twenty are classified "essential" because they mist be obtained through the diet. The others are manufactured in the body from one or more of the essential Amino Acid. In addition to their roles as structural components of protein, Amino Acids perform a wide variety of biochemical functions involved in energy metabolism, nerve signal transmission and immune system response.*

Antioxidants ?

An Antioxidant is any substance that prevents damage caused by unstable oxygen atoms known as free radicals. Some Antioxidants such as enzymes glutathione, are manufactured in the body; others are obtained through diet. Chief among the dietary Antioxidants are Vitamins C and E, which are essential in human nutrition. Many of the natural pigments that give fruit and vegetables their distinctive colors also function as Antioxidants, as do the active components of numerous herbs. Because different Antioxidants often complement each other's activity, a healthy mixture is considered the best approach for free-radical protection.

B Vitamins ?

The B Vitamin complex consists of 11 distinct nutrients that work closely together to perform a wide range of biological functions. Included in the B-Complex are thiamin (B-1), riboflavin (B-2), niacin (B-3), pantothenic acid (B-5), pyridoxine (B-6), cyanocogalamin (B-12), biotin, folic acid (folate), choline, inositol, and PABA (para-aminobenzoic acid). Important for maintaining a healthy cardiovascular system, the B Vitamins are often described as "stress-fighters" because they play key roles in energy metabolism and central nervous systems function, placing them in high demand during times of increased mental and physical stress.*

C Vitamins ?

It is important to know that C Vitamins are a powerful antioxidant, serving as the body's first line of defense against harmful free radicals.* In addition, it's water soluble, which means it can't be stored in the body and must be replenished regularly. This is why more people supplement their daily diets with Vitamin C than with any other vitamin. To meet this tremendous demand, we offer a wide variety of Vitamin C formulas, They include capsules fortified with rose hips or bioflavonoids, time release tablets, and mixable powders.

CoQ10 Products ?

CoQ10 is a short name for coenzyme Q10, a vitamin-like compound produced naturally in our cells. A coenzyme is a substance needed for proper functioning of an enzyme, a protein that speeds up chemical reactions that take place in the mitochondria, the microscopic power plants that supply cells with energy. This makes CoQ10 especially important for organs with high energy requirements, like the heard and the brain.*

E Vitamins ?

Vitamin E provides antioxidant protection for cardiovascular system, the liver, prostate, skin and other vital tissues.* Not all Vitamin E supplements are the same. Research has shown that natural source Vitamin E (d-alpha tocopherol) has twice the bioavailability of synthetic forms.
